Inspiración: Calcetines con tacones / Socks with high heels

Confieso que no me gustan mucho mis piernas y me encantaría tener piernas delgadas con tobillitos, pero eso no impide que me vista como si las tuviera. Me encantan los calcetines con tacones y esa es mi inspiración de la semana. Me gustan con calcetines cortos pq parecen botines, medianos, porque mis calcetines más lindos son medianos y largos porque es mucho más elegante.

Una niña me dijo "no entiendo los tacones con calcetines" y yo respondo a eso con "a mí sí y los mis calcetines tienen orejas".

I confess one of the main things I dislike about my body are my legs. I'd love to have thin long legs with slim ankles, but not having them doesn't stop me from mixing something like socks and high heels. I love ankle socks because the make heels look like booties, medium because most of my pretty socks are medium length and long because they are just fancy.

One girl said to me once "I don't get the whole heels with socks thing" and my answer is "I do and my socks have ears"

Mila Gali, the video.

Han pasado muchas cosas en nuestras vidas y una de ellas es que Carmila ahora tiene una marca de ropa vintage, junto con su socia Alina, se llama Mila Gali y acaba de tener su primera pasarela. Carmila va a escribir un poco más de la marca y va a compartir fotos de la pasarela y contarles más detalles pero les queremos compartir este video que hicimos para la pasarela. El tema de la línea eran rayas, flores y zombies, e hicimos este video como introducción. Nos encantaría saber su opinión ;)

There have been a few things happening in our lives and one of them is the launch of Carmila's Vintage  clothing line: Mila Gali. She manages it alongside her business partner Alina and has just had her first runway show, it was all about stripes, flowers and zombies :p She will be sharing more details and pictures soon, but we wanted to share the video we did for the promo. Do you know Marimekko? 

Until recently I didn't know what Marimekko was, I'd heard the name before I think.... but that was it.

But now I know it is a Finnish brand that was created around 1950 by Arni Ratia. Now a design company famous for their prints, fabrics and various objects. It started out small and grew expanding into different areas. It has had a rich history, I strongly recommend checking out their site, the "history" and "made in Finland" tabs have interesting details about the creation process and about the "Marimekko village" which is a one of a kind design utopia!

I wanted to share some images and the link to the website, because I found it very inspiring. They are obviously very defined by their work with color and pattern and I loved the catalogue and a lot of their pieces. I hope you like them :)

¿Conocen Marimekko? Hasta hace poco no conocía nada de Marimekko, sólo había escuchado el nombre pero no sabía que era.

Es una marca finlandesa, que crearon alrededor de 1950, fundada por Arni Ratia. Ahora es una compañía de diseño famosa por sus estampados, sus telas y distintos objetos. Empezó como algo más pequeño pero poco a poco fue abarcando diferentes areas. Su historia es interesante y fácil de leer, si les gustan sus cosas y les interesa les recomiendo que se metan a la página y vean las secciones de "historia" y "made in Finland" en donde enseñan fotos y hablan de los detalles de sus diseños, el proceso y la "Marimekko village"que es una especie de utopía del diseño.

Quería compartir algunas imagenes y el link al sitio porque me pareció muy bonito y me inspiraron mucho algunas de sus imagenes. Obviamente lo más llamativo de su trabajo son los colores y los patrones. Me gustó mucho el catalogo y muchas de sus piezas. Ojalá les gusten :)
