1.- Embroidered headphones. I will love to try this, they look super pretty <3

2.- I really like this idea, I think it would be perfect for keeping your favorite books next to your bed.

Me encanta esta idea. Sobre todo para libros y tal vez en blanco y negro o en dos colores contrastantes.

3.- I´ve been meaning to make a cake like this for a long time...will this be the month that I finally get to make an ombre cake? (hope so...)

Llevo queriendo hacer un pastel así desde hace muchísimo. Espero que éste mes lo logre por fin, realmente no se porque no lo he hecho aún si es hermoso.

Este año que pasó

This year was a year of many changes for me. I graduated from college (visual arts) That was a pretty big change for me...

I started a small business of cupcakes and cakes with three of my friends from college.

Este año fue año de muchos cambios para mi. me gradué de la universidad (artes visuales). eso para empezar ha sido un gran cambio para mi...

Empecé un pequeño negocio de repostería junto con tres de mis amigas de la universidad.

 I started to "build" a home with my boyfriend and we broke up a few months ago...

Empecé a "construir"  un hogar con mi chico y hace unos meses nos separamos...

 Some artists and designers and I decided to open a small shop called "Celoffán". This is something that has been keeping me very busy these past few months and I've been wanting to write about it for some time. (I hope to do it soon, it's a nice project that makes me very happy :)

Algunos artistas y diseñadores y yo decidimos abrir una pequeña tienda en el centro llamada "Celoffán". Esto es algo que me ha tenido muy ocupada estos últimos meses y de lo que he querido escribir desde hace tiempo. (Espero hacerlo pronto, es un proyecto muy bonito que me ha hecho muy feliz:)

I knitted and crocheted new things, and I tried some new stitches(;

 I wrote and I received many letters from my penpals. And I also made some (real life) new friends(:

Cupcakes, cakes, and other sweet things

First of all, thanks to all who congratulated me on my birthday post(:

Primero que nada, gracias a todas las que me felicitaron en mi cumpleaños, siempre me hace feliz leer comentarios y más si vienen en forma de felicitación. 

 
Well, today I´m here to tell you a little bit of another small business that truly came out of nowhere. As you may know (and in case you don't) I have a small "shop"called Cajita de albaricoque (little box of apricot), I started about three years ago. I sell things that I make with yarn, felt and fabric, mostly crocheted creatures. You can see some of the stuff here or on my facebook page.  

And I recently started another business with two of my friends, Sandra is one of them (who writes this blog with me). We started a photography , design and invitations bussines. You can also see some of that here and here.
But a few weeks ago, I was planning how to raise money for another project that I had in mind. Three friends (who went to college with me) and I, decided to enter a craftshow to sell cupcakes, cakes and other sweet things. So we created "Cocoa & Cinnamon" . We planned everything in a week or so and this past weekend we went to the craftshow. I really do not know where this is going, because a third "business" is not something I've thought I would be doing. But I really enjoyed planning the whole image I wanted the brand to have and I love that we recieved such a positive response from the people that tasted our desserts.

Pues hoy me paso rápido por aquí para contarles un poco de otro pequeño negocio que la verdad es que surgió de la nada. Como sabrán ( y por si no lo saben) tengo un negocio llamado Cajita de albaricoque, que empecé más o menos hace 3 años en donde vendo cositas que hago tejidas, de crochet y de fieltro, pueden ver algunas cosas aquí o en mi pagina de facebook. Y hace poco inicie otro negocio con dos de mis amigos, Sandra es una de ellos (quien escribe este blog conmigo). Empezamos un negocio de fotografía, diseño e invitaciones. También pueden ver un poco de eso aquì y aquí. 

Pero hace unas semanas, planeando como recaudar dinero para un proyecto que tengo desde hace tiempo en mente, 3 amigas (que fueron conmigo a la univerdad) y yo decidimos meternos a un bazar a vender cupcakes, pasteles y cosas por el estilo. De ahí surgió "Cocoa & Canela", todo lo planeamos en una semana y el fin pasado estuvimos en el bazar, realmente no se a donde vaya ir esto, porque un tercer "negocio" no es algo que tuviera pensado hacer, pero me gustó mucho hacerlo, planear toda la imágen que quería que tuviera y recbir una respues positiva de la gente cuando probaba nuestros postres. I think someday (soon) I would like to write a post about my experience on selling handmade stuff, although I have a long way ahead of me, I think by now I've learned a thing or two, mostly about the craftshow experience.

Creo que un día me gustaría hacer un post de mi experiencia en estos negocios de las cosas hechas a mano, porque aunque me falta mucho camino por recorrer creo que hasta ahora si he aprendido una cosa o dos, sobre todo de la experiencia de los bazares.
