Did I ever tell you about the Correspondence Club? Well, it all started a few months ago, when I discovered Nnenna's blog, Starcrossedsmile. She was starting a correspondence club, all I had to do was send her a e mail telling her I wanted to be part of it, so I did. She was my partner for the first few months, but as the club started to grow, she decided we should change partners every three months, this way we get to meet more people. I´m so happy I join the club, there's (almost) nothing that makes me happier than finding a letter in the mail(:

¿Alguna vez les he hablado del Club de Correspondencia? Bueno, todo empezó hace unos meses, cuando descubrí el blog de Nnenna, Starcrossedsmile. Ella estaba empezando un club de correspondencia, todo lo que tenía que hacer era mandarle un correo diciéndole que quería ser parte de el. Así que lo hice. Ella fue mi pareja de correspondencia los primeros meses, pero conforme empezó a crecer el club decidió que ibamos a cambiar de pareja cada tres meses, así podríamos conocer a más personas. Estoy muy feliz de haberme unido al club de correspondencia, no hay (casi) nada que me haga más feliz que encontrar una carta en el buzón(:

I encourage you to take a pen, sit on your desk with a piece of lemon pie (optional) and write a letter to a stranger. I swear you won´t regret it(; Join a correspondence club! (and feel the magic of the ink :p)

Los invito a que tomen una pluma, se sienten en su escritorio con un buen trozo de pay de limón (opcional) y escriban una carta a un desconocido en algún lugar del mundo. No se van a arrepentir, lo juro(; ¡Únanse a un Club de correspondencia!  (y sientan la magía de la tinta :p)

A few weeks ago I received the best surprise when I got home. There were two packages on the table, I love getting mail, but this time was like opening presents for christmas:p 

The little package: A few months ago, I signed up for my very first craft swap, everything was great, except that my assigned partner stopped answering my e mails...I was a little dissapointed, and a few weeks later I read on one of my favorite blogs (scientific culture) that Kate's partner had failed her too. So, long story short, I told kate my sad story, and  Kate suggested something that was the best idea ever: to make a craft swap with me. And here's what I got from Kate:

Hace unas semanas recibí la mejor sorpresa cuando llegué a casa. Había dos paquetes sobre la mesa, me encanta recibir correo, pero esta vez fue como abrir los regalos de navidad : p
El pequeño paquete: Hace pocos meses, me inscribí en mi primer "craft swap" (intercambio de cosas hechas a mano), todo iba genial, hasta que mi pareja asignada dejó de contestar mis mails ... Estaba un poco decepcionada, y unas semanas más tarde, leí en uno de mis blogs favoritos (scientific culture) que la pareja de Kate le había fallado también. Para resumir la historia, le dije a Kate mi triste historia, y Kate sugirió algo que fue la mejor idea del mundo: hacer un intercambio de de cosas hechas a mano conmigo. Y esto es lo que recibí de Kate:

 

The big Package: A few months ago I won an amazing prize on My girl thursday's blog, a beautiful piece of embroidery made by a very talented lady, Sandi. I couldn't believe my luck.

El paquete grande: Hace unos meses, me gané un premio increible en el blog de My girl Thursday. Una hermosa pieza bordada a mano, hecha por una chica muy talentosa, Sandi. No podía creer mi suerte.

I´ ve got mail! (again)

Me llegó correo (¡otra vez!)

This past week I received a little package, I rarely get mail, so I was so exited, and even more because I´ve just received Kate´s pin a little while ago, (remember?). This one is from Andrea of the PaperSparrow blog! She sent me lovely little gifts, and they really made my day(:
I participated on her awesome Cat Party! with the Cat brooch tutorial, remember?
She has become one of my favorite bloggers. I love her outfits posts, her work, and of course her blog parties! If you don´t know her yet you should definitly visit her lovely blog, you won´t regret it(;

La semana pasada recibí un pequeño paquete, casi nunca recibo correo, así que estaba muy emocionada, y más aún porque acababa de recibir el pin de Kate hace poco, (¿recuerdan?). Éste me lo mandó Andrea, del blog de Papersaparrow. Me mandó pequeños regalos muy lindos, que en verdad me alegraron el día(:
