I've never liked outfits to be too matchy matchy you know? Like shoes and bags matching, and coordinating your eyeshadow with them on top of it. But going the whole way, embracing just one color scheme seems just perfect! A little bit too much, but at the same time is like not faking that you don't care, genuinely putting and effort and at the same time it looks a little bit ironic don't you think? I just love it!
Nunca me ha gustado que la gente combine lo que se viste y queden super combinados, como por ejemplo cuando las personas combinan sus zapatos con su bolsa y su blusa con su maquillaje, ese tipo de cosas. Pero ya llevándolo más allá, y combinandolo al extremo con una sola gama de color ¡Me parece perfecto! Es demasiado, pero a la vez estas demostrando que estas haciendo un verdadero esfuerzo, nada de esas tonterías de que finges que no le echaste ganas a vestirte en la mañana. También siento que se ve un poco irónico ¡Me encanta!

How to put some color in your keys ;)
Como hacer que tus llaves sean coloridas
This was Diego's idea and it was because of him that I made this tutorial. The keychain above is his.
You know those cute keys that some locksmiths (I don't know if that's the right word), can make for you? Ones with leopard print, or bright colors and stuff? They are cute, but to be honest, if you have all your keys already and you don't want to spend money in replacing each one, here's a cheap (and changeable) alternative:

¿Ven esas llaves que te pueden hacer en algunos cerrajeros, las que tienen estampados de leopardo, o de colores o flores? Están muy lindas, pero para ser sincera si ya tienes todas tus llaves hechas no dan ganas de tener que gastar en volver a hacer todas. Así que esta es una buena alternativa, muy barata y es reversible.
You will need: Keys, nail polish(es), tape.
Vas a necesitar: Llaves, barniz de uñas, cinta.
Done! You can paint them all over or just the top (if you paint it all over beware that it will cheap when you use it), but the cool thing is you can use nail polish remover and change them whenever you want. I also recommend using a transparent top coat so it lasts better :)
¡Listo! Puedes pintarlas completamente o sólo la parte de arriba (si la pintas toda se puede ir raspando cuando la metas en una cerradura), lo padre es que si las despintas con acetona puedes cambiarlas cuando quieras. Les recomiendo que le pongan una capa de barniz transparente al final para que dure más ;)

The Anonymous ColorPalette
Last Sunday when Carmila and I where choosing the photographs for our "When we were young & colorful"post, we came across some pictures we truly love and we decided to make a photography post about them (:
Cuando Carmila y yo estabamos escogiendo las fotos para nuestro post del pelo de colores (link en el parrafo anterior), encontramos muchas fotos que nos gustan muchisismo y decidimos hacer un post de fotografía acerca de ellas (:
Most of these pictures were taken a long time ago, I had just bought a cheap camera that made me the happiest girl in the world, and that was the beginning of my growing love for photography. I didn't know anything about how a camera worked (the photo above is the most recent one and the only one I took it after deciding I wanted to do photography seriously), but the interest was there. Carmila, her hair and our surroundings were more than enough to get me going.
La mayoría de estas fotos fueron tomadas hace mucho tiempo, acababa de comprarme una cámara barata que me hizo la niña más feliz del mundo, y ese fue el principio de mi creciente amor por la fotografía. No sabía nada de nada, ni siquiera como funcionaba una cámara (la foto de arriba es la más reciente y es la única que tome después de decidir que quería hacer fotografía en serio), pero el interés estaba ahi. Carmila, su pelo y nuestro entorno fueron más que suficiente para comenzar.

This past photo was taken by Vanessa, Carmila's sister and it has become one of my favorite pictures of all time, I love Petunia (my grandma's cat) smelling my foot :p
Esta última foto fue tomada por Vanessa, la hermana de Carmila y se ha vuelto una de mis imagenes favoritas de todos los tiempos, me encanta que Petunia (la gatita de mi abuela) me huela el pie :p
Most of these photos were taken spontaneously and when I look back it makes me smile, and remember that moment with outstanding precision! I think that is missing a little from my current photographs and I will try to bring that spur-of-the-moment feeling back.
One of the things I find in all of them is the extreme anonymity of the model. I know who she is, and you know who she is, but the photograph in itself is showing a girl moving through different scenarios with an exchangeable face, who is distracted and doesn't mind that you are watching. There is a reason why she is not facing you, but until you figure it out I want you to enjoy this view.
La mayoría de estas fotos fueron tomadas espontaneamente y cuando las veo me hace sonreir y recordar el momento con sorpendente precisión! Pienso que ese sentimiento de espontaneidad no aparece en mis fotos actuales y quiero recuperarlo.
Una de las cosas que encuentro en todas ellas, es el extremo anonimato de la modelo. Yo se quien es, ustedes saben quien es, pero en la fotografía en si, se muestra una chica recorriendo diferentes escenarios, con un rostro intercambiable y que se encuentra distraida, pero no le importa que la estes observando. Hay una razón por la que no te está volteando a ver, pero hasta que lo descubras, quiero que disfrutes de esta vista.

Hello! Today we want to talk about the colors of our hair. We weren’t always the boring girls we are now :p there was a time…
A few years ago (during our youth :p), when we were fun and people had fun with us (or made fun of us, haha not really) and the colors in our head (:

The first time I colored my hair I was 15. It was bright red. A couple of months after that, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was showing in the movie theater, I didn’t even know what it was about (now it’s my favorite movie of all times!), I just went to see it because Kate Winslet had the same color in the poster I had in my head, but I loved it so much it inspired me to try blue as my next color.
La primera vez que me pinte el pelo de colores fue a los 15 años. Era rojo brillante. Un par de meses después, pusieron Eterno resplandor de una mente sin recuerdos en el cine, ni siquiera sabía de que se trataba (ahora es mi pelicula favorita de todos los tiempos!), sólo entré a verla porque Kate Winslet tenía en el poster el mismo color que yo tenía en la cabeza. Y me gusto tanto la película que decidí probar azul como mi proximo color.
Back then, almost no one had those kinds of colors in their hair, it felt very special! Now it’s pretty common, but on the bright side it’s way easier to find great colors available. It makes me sad to remember those beautiful colors and have almost no pictures at all to look back on it, I didn’t have a camera back then and all I have are a few strands of hair, and very few pictures to remember them. The colors I had were, red, blue, green, purple and pink.
En ese entonces, casi nadie tenía esos colores en el pelo, era muy especial! Ahora es muy común, pero por el lado bueno es mucho más facil encontrar colores bonitos para el pelo. Me da tristeza pensar en esos colores tan bonitos y no tener practicamente ninguna foto. No tenía cámara en ese entonces y solamente hay algunos mechones de pelo y pocas fotos para recordarlo. Los colores que tuve fueron, rojo, azul, verde, morado y rosa.

One day when I was 18, pink came into my life, after that came bright blue, and all the other colors were born from there. I had lots of different color combinations.
It made me really happy to have colors in my hair, how can you be in a bad mood when you wake up every morning and when you look in the mirror, you find blue, pink, purple or green even? (or all of them together! :p) No, it’s hard to be in a bad mood when color enters your life.(;
Un día a los 18 años llegó el rosa a mi vida, depués vino el azul brillante y de ahí nacieron los demás colores, a partir de entonces tuve muchas combinaciones de colores. Realmente me hacía muy feliz tener el pelo de colores, ¿ cómo puedes estar de mal humor si cuando te levantas en la mañana y te ves al espejo, tienes el pelo rosa, azul, morado o hasta verde? (o todos juntos:p) No, es dificil estar de mal humor cuando el color entra a tu vida.
But then, one day, I had to get a job and the colors faded away): I had to cover them with black because they forced me to. Now I just have blue remains of what used to be something full of color.
Maybe someday the color will come back, you never know (:
Luego, un buen día tuve que entrar a trabajar y los colores se desvanecieron con el tinte negro de la obligación. Ahora sólo quedan vestigios azules de lo que alguna vez estuvo lleno de color.
Tal vez algún día vuelva el color, nunca se sabe(;
