American Gothic
The name of this session is honor of Grant Wood, an American painter, who painted this painting .
We remembered the painting mid-session (and talked a little about The Rocky Horror Picture Show) and used the inspiration for two of the photographs.
During my years of highschool I could see this place almost eveyday, it was on my way to school, and everytime I caught a glimpse of the place during sunrise or sunset I thought of taking a photograph there. I didn't have a camera then, but I kept my unspoken promise and returned to take portraits of my three beautiful models:
Vanessa Macias, Diego Cevallos & Gerardo Lavaniegos.

El nombre de esta sesión es en honor a Grant Wood, el pintor estadounidense que pinto esta pintura. A la mitad de la sesión recordamos el cuadro (y hablamos un poco del Rocky Horror Picture Show) y lo usamos como inspiración para dos de las fotos.
Durante los años que fui a la prepa pasaba casi diario frente a este vivero en el camino. Y cada vez que lo veía en el amanecer o atardecer, pensaba en tomar fotos ahi. No tenía cámara en ese entonces, pero guarde mi promesa silenciosa y regrese a tomarle fotos a mis hermosos modelos:
Vanessa Macias, Diego Cevallos & Gerardo Lavaniegos.
