Semana del terror - Día uno: Las pinturas de Aleksandra Waliszewska. 

Quiero empezar la semana del terror, por supuesto, con algo terrorífico.  Pensé que quería escribir sobre algún artista e inmediatamente pensé en la pintura de Aleksandra Waliszewska. 

Esta mujer es una artista polaca que hace unas pinturas un tanto perturbadoras, en mi opinión, una es más horrible que la otra. Son imágenes de una sencillez estremecedora, que nos podrían remitir a nuestras más funestas pesadillas, inquietantes y muchas de ellas con una presencia felina que me parece encantadora. Tal vez no son pinturas para todos, pero a mi me han atrapado y me parecen terriblemente hermosas.

I want to start the week of terror, of course, with something terrifying. I just wanted to write about an artist and I immediately thought of Aleksandra Waliszewska paintings.
This woman is a Polish artist that paints these disturbing images, in my opinion, one more horrible than the other. They are images of a frightening simplicity, that may remind us of our most dire nightmares. Many of them with a feline presence that I find quite charming.
Perhaps they are not paintings for everyone, but they've captivated me and I find them terrifyingly beautiful.
